I’m raising my son to understand that we out grow things and it is okay to let go.
Today Ellis sorted through his toys with me for the first time.
Donating toys from his early months (mostly 3-6) months, throwing away toys that weren’t in the best condition and donating things that were gifted that he didn’t show interest in. While I’m sure he really didn’t know what was going on, we had a fun time pouring all of the toys out and sorting through them.
He even rediscovered a few toys that received zero love because they were at the bottom of the toy basket and lets be real, he rarely digs all the way down.
So now, the toy basket is a lot lighter with toys that he enjoys.
We will be donating the toys tomorrow! Practicing these habits early will make parting with excess luggage in the future.
