How To Keep Life Simple

Life can be a very complicated process. It is full of obligations, plans, goals, needs, expectations of others, self-expectations, adversities, problems, pressures, stressors, opportunities and a variety of projects, activities, and things in general. Most people join the already complicated nature of life with a series of emotional and physical attachments that inhibit a sense of balance, harmony, inner peace, happiness, and joy.

Simplifying your life can range from an arduous and painful task to a pleasant and edifying process that frees you from mental attachments to things and people; it just depends to a large extent on who you are, what you believe and what you think you want out of life.

There is a series of books printed today on the merits and virtues of simple life. Some would recommend moving to a small cabin in the forest without modern amenities and away from the interactions of people, media and technology, while others recommend spending the day cleaning their closet. And, everything in between.

What are the benefits of keeping your life simple? This process can:

  • Reduce your stress

  • Save you money (Click here to get on track with saving your money)

  • Allow yourself to have more fun

  • Increase your joy

  • Allow yourself to enjoy more of the present moments of life

  • Increase your harmony with others.

  • Decrease your anxiety levels

  • Reduce your frustration

  • Improve your relationships

  • Obtain and maintain balance

  • Eliminate clutter in your life

  • Make it easier to find things

Give yourself more time with what is really important in your life.

What can you do to simplify some areas of your life? These include, but are not limited to, your:

  • Home or living space.

  • Work or business area.

  • Relationships

  • career

  • needs

  • expectations.

In what areas do you feel you need to simplify your life? What is holding you back? Do you need to clean up some old emotional baggage or just clean some drawers and donate your unused clothes to Goodwill? I don’t on a weekly basis, sometimes large amounts other times small amounts, nonetheless, regardless of how much I donate it helps me feel so much lighter and free

Do something each day to start cleaning up the mess in your life. You will be surprised at what this does for your mood attitude toward life.
