A Wedding Guest Look

Updated: Aug 26, 2019

This weekend I had the pleasure of witnessing a friend of mine from high school get married! When it comes to attending weddings I consider a few things before sealing the deal on my look. This one was a bit tough to figure out because I had no sort of info aside from the location and the last thing I wanted to be was that person bugging the bride days before her big day! For starters I didn't know what color the wedding party would be wearing, I‘ve always known that it’s best to avoid wearing colors that the wedding party may be wearing. I also didn’t know how formal the wedding would be I’ve been to super casual wedding and formal ones.

I trusted my gut with this one, the last thing you want to do is over dress the bride, coming in with a dress gliding on the floor is a no no, sis! I pulled out this wrap dress/kimono from the Rocky Barnes x Express collection that I featured on my YouTube channel earlier this summer! It was the perfect wedding guest dress! I paired it with a pair of Valentino dupes that I snagged on LuLu’s a few years back. I kept my accessories simple, just stacked on a few gold rings skipped the earrings and wore my usual gold necklaces. I love the versatility of this LV bag, I tucked the strap in and held it by the handle, later in the evening I wore it as a crossbody.

I slathered my body in a bronze shimmering dry oil by Sol. I shared a video on my YouTube channel a few weeks ago, comparing a couple of the colors. Yes body glitter is extra. No it is not necessary but I love it and the wedding was outside and happened during sunset hour so why not glow?!
