After wearing my hair straight for 3 weeks, trying out new oils throughout the duration of wearing my hair straight it was a hot greasy mess and in need of a serious wash!
I received new hair goodies from Afro Sheen last month, when I initially shared my unboxing of the products on Instagram Stories so many were shocked and felt all the nostalgic feels, remembering the brand from years ago!
I created a little hair cocktail using Afro Sheen's Crown Defining Curl Cream and their Texture Setting Cream Gel the combo provides a flexible hold, still allowing that bounce that we all seek when doing set styles. I flat twisted my hair and put rods on the pieces that were long enough to hold a rod (the front and center) in the back I flat twisted and attempted to do tiny bantu-knots, securing with a rubber band.
I let my hair air dry over night but lets face it, with thick type 4 hair over night isn't enough. In the morning I used my Bonnet Hood Hair Dryer Attachment for about 45 minutes just to be sure that my efforts flat twisting, rolling and bantu knotting wasn't going to be a waste of time.
I removed the flat twists and fluffed the roots only with an afro-pick.
