Hands Down Fav Cleanser

Updated: May 26, 2023

Last month my skin was doing something different and the cleanser I had been using just wasn't cutting it. The issues that I tend to have with cleansers is the feeling of my face just not being clean or my face feeling stripped.

I jumped in the car and headed to Target just to make my way back to home base, the Olay section. Everything that I have ever used from Olay just seem to do right by my skin so I grabbed their 7 in 1 facial cleanser and never looked back. In fact, I just re-upped on it and grabbed one for my mom too since she has been complaining about her skin.

ALSO new drop alert!

Olay is dropping a new serum next week which I am personally excited about. The Super Serum is said to have 5 benefits within 1 serum.

  • Long Lasting Hydration

  • Improved skin texture

  • More Even-Looking Skin Tone

  • Visibly Smoother Lines

  • Firmer Feeling Skin

All of these benefits I can stand by!

Do you use a serum within your routine? I never skip my serum after toning my skin it just feels wrong when I skip that step. I will follow up with my thoughts on the serum once I get my hands on it.

I shared my night time skin care on Instagram and as promised, I linked everything below

Finding the right routine for YOU

Having a skincare routine tailored to your specific needs is essential for maintaining healthy and radiant skin but there are so many skin care products and brands out there which can make the whole process overwhelming. Not all products are created equal, depending on your skin type and the elements of your environment certain products may or may not work for you.

  1. Understand Your Skin Type: The first step in developing an effective skincare routine is to identify your skin type. Is your skin oily, dry, combination, or sensitive? Knowing your skin type will help you select products that address your specific concerns. For instance, if you have oily skin, you may want to focus on oil-free and mattifying products, while those with dry skin might opt for hydrating and moisturizing formulas.

  2. Listen to Your Skin: Your skin is unique, and it may require adjustments to your skincare routine from time to time. Pay attention to how your skin reacts to different products and treatments. If you notice irritation or discomfort, consider revisiting your routine and eliminating or replacing specific products that may be causing the issue.

  3. Be Consistent: Consistency is key when it comes to skincare. Establishing a routine and sticking to it will yield better results in the long run. Give your skin time to adjust to new products and treatments, as changes may not happen overnight. Remember, patience is crucial in achieving healthy, glowing skin.

Finding the right skincare routine is a journey of trial and error. By understanding your skin type, cleansing gently, exfoliating regularly, hydrating and moisturizing, protecting from the sun, and listening to your skin's needs, you're on your way to achieving a healthier complexion. Be patient, consistent, and embrace the process of self-care. Your skin will thank you for it!
